Most influential person in my baseball life: My dad, he instilled a passion for baseball in me, and he taught me everything up until I started playing at provincial level in bantam. 

Good Genes: Mom, Chelsea Korpan-Sparks is a dancer and pilates instructor; father Jim played baseball, basketball, hockey to midget, but was a better coach than player (ha, ha) and grandpa, Bob Korpan, was a two time Junior National Football Champion, Canadian Bowl MVP, as well as playing one year pro hockey in Europe.

2018 season: With the Canadiun Junior Team on Dominican trip: Worked 21 innings, 6.92 ERA, walking nine, striking out eight ... Pitched 6 2/3 and allowing two earned runs on four hits while managing two strikeouts against DSL Phillies, retired the first seven batters he faced in order before an error in the third gave the Phillies their first base runner ... Two scoreless against the Nationals.

2017 season, At Tournament 12: Pitched five innings with a 1.80 ERA for Prairies Purple with five walks and 12 strikeouts in five innings ... At Canada Games with Team Saskatchewan: Knocked in two runs as Saskatchewan edged Manitoba 3-1 to win the  province’s first Canada Games baseball gold medal since winning silver in 1989 ... Pitched five scoreless to blank Ontario 7-0 in the semi-final, scattering four hits and three walks while striking out three batters.
