My preliminary listing of Canadians at 2013 spring training, and of course, it’s always subject to change if necessary.
By my count, there are a total of 35 players including 19 who are on the regular 40-man roster, and the other 16 shown in Bold Italic Print, who are non-roster invitees.
The Milwaukee Brewers with general manager Doug Melvin (Chatham, Ont.), assistant GM Gord Ash (Toronto, Ont.), plus scouts Marty Lehn (Vancouver, BC), Jay Lapp (London, Ont.), Sam Dempster (Oshawa, Ont.) and Kirk Barclay (Wyoming, Ont.) lead the way with four Canucks in camp.
The Canadians are: RP John Axford (Port Dover, Ont.), INF Taylor Green (Comox, BC), RP Jim Henderson (Calgary, Alta.) and RHP Nick Bucci (Sarnia, Ont.)
