Chris Bisson hits lead-off for the Lake Elisnore Storm.
And he was atop the list of the 119 Canadians in the minors to earn Canadian Baseball Network Player of the Week honours.
Bisson had the most hits for the week batting .448 (13-for-29) and knocking in two runs.
How the week that was went for Bisson (Orleans, Ont.) as the former Ottawa-Nepean Canadian had:
_ Two hits and drove in a run in a 6-3 win against Inland Empire ‘66ers.
_ Two hits in a walk in an 8-6 loss to Inland Empire.
_ Three hits in five at-bats, including a double and stole a base in a 13-1 romp over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
_ Two hits and an RBI in a 14-2 loss to Rancho Cucamonga.
_ Singled in a 5-4 loss to Rancho Cucamonga.
_ Three hits raising his average to .295 and scored three times in an 11-9 win over Inland Empire.

For the third week in a row, a Leroux start has earned mention in our pitching highlights of the Week. On Aug. 11 he earned his second win of the season in a 4-0 victory over Columbus Clippers, as he tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits, while striking out four Clippers. The win improved his over-all record with the Indians to 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA.

Bucci began the season on the disabled list, and has only been active for four weeks. After a brief stint with the Rookie Class Arizona Brewers, he was moved by Milwaukee to Single-A Brevard County and on Aug. 10, earned his first win for the Manatees in an 8-6 victory over Tampa Yankees. He threw five scoreless innings, gave up only four hits and struck out six. The win bumped his record with Brevard County to 1-0 and a 0.00 ERA.

Aumont continues to excel as the closer for Lehigh Valley, and this week had a no decision and earned one save. On Aug. 12 in a 10-0 loss to the Rochester Red Wings, he threw one inning gave up one hit and one run. On Aug, 13, he earned his 14 save of the year in a 4-0 win over the Red Wings, as the tossed one scoreless inning, gave up zero hits and struck out one. The two appearances improved his overall record with the Iron Pigs to 2-1, 14 Saves and a 3.67 ERA.
JEFF DUDA RHP - IND QUEBEC CAPITALES

Duda continues his outstanding season as the ace of the Quebec starting staff, and this week picked up two wins. On Aug. 8 he earned his 11th win of the season in a 5-3 victory over the Rockland Boulders, as he tossed seven innings, surrendering only two hits and two earned Runs, while striking out six. He followed that up on Aug. 13 with another win in a 3-0 victory over New Jersey Jackals, he gave up three hits and struck out 10 Jackals. His overall record with the Capitales improved to 12-1, one save and a 2.31 ERA, and his 12 Wins lead the IND Can Am League.
TOM BOLESKA RHP - IND FARGO-MOORHEAD REDHAWKS

Hard to believe any Reliever in the minorss could be performing at a higher level than Boleska, the Closer for Fargo-Moorhead in the IND American Association and this week he earned a win and two more saves. On Aug. 9, in a 5-3 victory over St. Paul Saints, he picked up his 24th save with one scoreless inning in which he have up only one hit, striking out two. On Aug. 10, he earned his second win of the year in an 8-6 victory over Sioux Falls Pheasants, with one inning. On Aug. 13, he closed out a 5-3 victory over arch rivals the Winnipeg Goldeyes, tossing one scoreless inning and struck out one, to earn his 25th save of the season. His overall record with the RedHawks now stands at 2-1, 25 Saves and a 1.85 ERA.
