Jordan Lennerton is the best.

This is not a repeat.

Lennerton, however, did repeat as the Canadian Baseball Network player of the Week … just like Week II.

And 11 weeks later Lennerton (Langley, BC) led the Canucks in hits (11), homers (three), RBIs (12) and average (.440). Lennerton was 11-for-25 for his .440 mark with double-A Erie.

How his week went as Lennerton, the former Langley Blaze as he had:

_ Three hits including three RBIs in an 8-5 win over Akron.

_ Singled in a 7-1 loss to Akron.

_ Singled and walked three times against Akron, a 5-4 victory.

_ Went 3-for-6 with a homer and four RBIs in a 13-9 victory against the Harrisburg Senators

_ Singled and knocked in a run on Canada Day a 3-1 loss to Harrisburg

_ Homered and knocked in three runs in an 8-5 loss to Harrisburg.

_ Singled and knocked in a run while walking twice in a 4-3 setback to Harrisburg.

Henderson had a busy week with Nashville making three strong relief appearances, and in the process picked up two saves. On June 27 in a 4-0 loss to Round Rock Express he threw one scoreless inning, gave up one hit, but was not involved in the decision. Then on June 29 he picked up his seven save of the season in a 2-0 victory over the Express, as he threw a scoreless inning and surrendered one hit, while striking out two hitters. On July 1 he closed out a 13-12 win over the Iowa Cubs with one inning, gave up only one hit and secured his eighth save. His overall record with the Triple-A Sounds is now 3-3, eight saves and an excellent 1.82 ERA.

Aumont made two excellent relief appearances this week, and picked up a win and a save. On June 29 he earned the win in a 6-5 victory over Rochester Red Wings. He tossed two perfect innings in the process. On July 1 he earned his 10th save of the season in an 8-5 victory over Pawtucket Red Sox, and in 1 2/3 perfect innings. His overall record wth the Iron Pigs now stands at 2-1, 10 Saves and a 4.32 ERA.

Taillon the young Pirates prospect with a very strong Canadian Connection, also made two appearances this week and earned a win and a no decision. On June 27, he got the win in a 5-3 victory over Dunedin Blue Jays, tossing five innings and giving up five hits and three earned runs, while striking out four Jays hitters. On July 2 he pitched seven strong innings in a 6-3 win over Charlotte Stone Crabs, but was not involved in the decision. In this game he threw seven innings, gave up only three hits and two earned Runs. The win in the Dunedin start improved his record with the Single-A Marauders to 5-6 with a 4.05 ERA.

Grills, the young Astros Prospect from Whitby had an excellent relief appearance on June 28 in an 11-8 victory over the Greensboro Grasshoppers. He threw 3 2/3 innings, surrendered five hits and only one earned run, for his third win of the season. He improved his overall record with the Legends to 3-1 with a 3.38 ERA.
