Continuing his fine performance with Huntsville, Henderson picked up a save and a sin this week. On June 24, in a 6-5 win over Carolina Mudcats he threw one inning with no hits and no runs, picking up his fifth save. Then, on June 26 again vs. the Mudcats in a 10-inning 10-6 victory, he got the win with two innings surrendering one hit, zero runs and striking out three hitters to secure his third win. Overall with Huntsville his record now stands at 3-0, five saves and a 0.71 ERA.

A 46th round pick by the Cleveland Indians last month, Nixon picked his first win as a pro on June 25 when the Scrappers beat Auburn Doubledays 2-0. It was his second start of the year and he tossed five strong innings, giving up only three hits and zero runs. Overall his record is now 1-1 with a 5.19 ERA.

Another rookie picking up his first professional win, on June 27 in an 8-5 victory over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, Zach threw 5 and 1/3 innings, gave up only 3 hits, no runs and struck out 2 batters. The Blue Jays prospect’s overall record with the Canadians is now 1-1 and a 3.95 ERA.
