Hall, Leach, Willow, Davis ranked on BA's top 100 HSers

OTTAWA- Highly regarded publication Baseball America released their annual High School Top 100 list today that included four Canadians, all of whom are members of the Junior National Team program.

Shortstop Adam Hall (London, ON) leads the way as the 16th ranked player on the list. Hall had a busy season in 2016 as he attended five different camps with the Junior National Team program, while also participating in some prestigious showcase events. In July, Hall played in the Under Armour All-America Game at Wrigley Field in Chicago where he was the lone Canadian in the contest and in August, waved the flag again as just the third Canadian to participate in the Perfect Game All-America Game at Petco Park in San Diego.

He also appeared in the Area Code Games in Long Beach, California in August before capturing MVP honours at Tournament 12 as his Ontario Black squad won the event held at Rogers Centre. Hall is committed to Texas A&M University for the 2018 season.

Right-handed pitcher Landon Leach (Pickering, ON), who checks in at #42 on the High School Top 100, also attended all five Junior National Team camps in 2016. Leach had a busy summer participating in Tournament 12 in Toronto and the Perfect Game WWBA World Championship in Jupiter. Leach ended his season by committing to the University of Texas for the 2018 season.

Infielder Jason Willow (Victoria, BC) comes in at #49 on the list after impressing on the showcase circuit last summer. He homered at the Area Code Games in Long Beach and also made stops at Tournament 12 in Toronto and through five trips with the Junior National Team. The 17 year-old is committed to UC Santa Barbara for the 2018 season.

Cooper Davis, who made his debut with the Junior National Team at the 2015 WBSC U-18 World Cup, is #77 on the High School Top 100. The outfeilder joined some of his National Team teammates at the Area Code Games in August and participated in Tournament 12, for a record fourth time, in September. An outfielder, Davis is committed to 2014 College World Series champion Vanderbilt for the 2018 season.

Hall, Leach, Willow and Davis are all eligible to represent Canada at the WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup that will take place in Thunder Bay, Ontario from September 1-10, 2017.
