Josh Cote supplied the power for the Northeastern Junior College offence last week.

Cote hit six home runs in six games, one in each, to lead the Plainsmen to a 5-1 record.

In total, he had 11 hits, four walks and 19 RBIs. The former Terriers catcher twice had three hits, once in a 19-9 Game 1 win over Dawson Community College and again in a 15-12 Game 4 victory. In Games 2 and 4, he drove in five.

On the season, he's hitting .447 with seven home runs and 24 RBIs in 15 games.

Cote was also named the National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX Player of the Week.

Honourable Mentions:

Right-hander Matt Brown picked up his first win for the University of South Florida by throwing five innings and allowing one run in an 11-1 victory over Marist. Brown surrendered three hits, worked around five walks and struck out four.

Elijha Hammill produced four multi-hit games for Central Arizona. When the week was complete, he had nine hits, including a home run against South Mountain, two walks, five RBIs and a pair of stolen bases.

Owen MacNeil worked 2 1/3 innings and gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and punched out four as the University of Charleston fell to Millersville University 9-8.

AJ Karosas had four hits, an RBI and a stolen base for Charleston against Mercyhurst and Millersville.

Catcher Matt Ward had two hits and a RBI for Niagara University as they salvaged Game 3 of their series versus Queens with a 17-8 win.

Sam Worthen threw three scoreless innings across two appearances for D'Youville. Worthen surrendered two hits, a walk and struck out four. He picked up his first save of the season with a scoreless inning in an 11-10 victory over Mercyhurst.

Auston Gomm doubled in LSU-Shreveport's 6-5 Game 3 win over LSU-Alexandria to help the Pilots secure the series.

Leadoff man Cameron Chee-Aloy collected a hit for the University of Illinois in all three games of the Coastal Carolina Tournament.

Zach Marriott stroked a hit and walked twice for Hendrix College.
