Most influential person in his baseball life: Michael Brdar, volunteer assistant coach at Michigan, helping Jordan with his swing. Jordan said, “He was more than a coach my first two years at Michigan, he was also a friend.” Brdar moved on from Michigan becoming assistant hitting coordinator for the San Francisco Giants.

American League scouting director “He’s a 60-65 runner (on our scale 20-to-80) ... We had him to first base in 4.3 seconds and sometimes his hard swing pulls him away from the base line ... The strength is in the bat ... An impressive, above average runner ... For a large man can really motor.

Baseball America: Born in Ottawa, Ont., this 21-year-old power-hitting outfielder has starred for the University of Michigan. Raised in Ann Arbour, Mich. Nwogu put up strong numbers in his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Wolverines to land himself on the radar of scouts. In his abbreviated 2020 season with the Wolverines, he batted .353 and had 24 hits - including two home runs - in 15 games. “A beast of an outfielder with a powerful, 6-foot-3, 235-pound frame,” reads Baseball America’s evaluation. “Nwogu has immense raw power, but that comes from an extremely funky swing that doesn’t have much precedent.”

2020 season as a junior at Michigan: Led off all 15 games in virus-shortened season leading with a .353 average, a .456 slugging mark and two home runs, finishing with 24 hits and a double ... Started spring with eight-game hit streak and had eight multi-hit games, including a four-hit performance against Cal Poly ... Was 2-for-5 with a double against UConn, hit first home run of the season against UConn ... Was 3-for-4 day facing Cal Poly with a stolen base.

2019 season, as a sophomore at Michigan: Hit .321 with 14 doubles, four triples, 12 homers and 46 RBIs.
