My mom also did some track and field competitions (high jump and long jump) as well as playing golf and tennis. My mother used to ski and walks and bikes too. My father (Jean-François) plays many sports in his spare time (ice hockey, floor field hockey, skiing, golf, badminton, cycling, canoeing, sailing, etc.) but never at a competitive level.

The most influential person in his my baseball life is: “My great-uncle Jean Ratelle, a member of the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame. He twice won the Lady Byng Trophy in recognition of his great sportsmanship. He is an inspiration, both personally and professionally. He is respectful, generous, disciplined and humble. Jean has always strived for excellence in hockey. Like me, he has been passionate about the sport since he was very young, around the age of four. He set goals and ambitions for himself at a very young age. I enjoy listening to him tell me stories about his time with the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers. Jean gives me a lot of advice. He is a role model for me.”

Scouting report

Impressing for the Canes Florida Prime was MV-Pitcher Mathieu Voros (2022, Anjou, Que.).

Voros is a big, physical right-hander with a listed height and weight of 6-foot-5, 225 pounds and plenty of present strength. He throws from a low 3/4s slot that allows him to get a good amount of sink and run to the offering while he topped out at 88 mph and sat in the mid-80s for the duration of his performance. He got the win in the semifinals for the Canes, going seven innings while allowing one run and striking out 10 batters in the process. Voros also showed a mid-70s slider with good horizontal breaking action while also flashing a couple of change ups. Voros has a durable build with the ability to hold his swing-and-miss stuff late into games as he was certainly a worthy MV-Pitcher.
