2015 Canadian draft list

Letters of Intent

June 10, 2014

In August of 2010 Jameson Taillon was chosen second over-all in North America by the Pittsburgh Pirates, was given the largest signing bonus of the draft -- $6.5 million US. Taillon received a larger signing bonus than No. 1 pick Bryce Harper.

Taillon's father Michael is from St. Andrews West, north of Cornwall, his mother Christie Kormendy Taillon from the Lawrence Park, near Upper Canada College in Toronto pitched so well against Team USA, allowing one earned run in four innings.

There were complaints when Taillon went atop our list because he was born in The Woodlands, Tex. No one complained after Taillon pitched so well -- 4 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 Ks -- for Team Canada against Team USA in the 2013 World Baseball Classic in Phoenix.

Taillon sits high atop our list of Canadians to receive six-figure signing bonuses.
