Two out of three ain’t bad, they say and the Blue Jays’ minor leaguers did just that, getting wins from New Hampshire and Lansing with the Bisons dropping their series opener against Columbus. Dunedin didn’t play thanks to rain.

The Bisons put up a good fight, tying up the score with the Columbus Clippers in the fifth inning but couldn’t score again as the Clippers got a run in the top of the 12th to beat the Bisons 5-4. Starter Chris Leroux was charged with all four runs but none were earned as he gave up seven hits and two walks over six innings with two strikeouts. Ben Rowen, Bo Schultz and Chad Jenkins pitched two innings each with both Rowen and Schultz allowing two hits and Schultz striking out two. Jenkins gave up the Clippers’ winning run in the 12th, allowing three hits and striking out two.

The Herd hitters had 10 hits including three from Domonic Brown who was 3/6 with a triple and two RBI. Alexi Casilla also had two RBI, hitting two doubles and scoring once.
