Blue Jays from Away

The class-A Advanced Dunedin Blue Jays were, as is usually the case, the final team to post their starting roster for 2019. As expected, Nate Pearson headlines the club and it's my opinion that he won't be there all that long. If he pitches well, I think he'll be in double-A New Hampshire by the time the weather in the northeast improves.

Starters

Surprises? I'm surprised Yennsy Diaz was given the go-ahead to start in New Hampshire. I'm a little surprised that Nick Allgeyer was jumped over Lansing but, from what I saw of him in spring training, that was earned.

Relievers

William Ouellette returns to the bullpen while Brad Wilson was a surprise, rising all the way from Vancouver.

Catchers

I expected Riley Adams to start the year back in Dunedin while Christopher Bec was a bit of a surprise, jumping over Lansing to join the D-Jays.

Infielders

I had thought that newly acquired infielder Jesus Lopez might move up to Dunedin after a couple of seasons with time in class-A but he's not here.

1B: Christian Williams
2B: Samad Taylor
3B: Cullen Large
SS: Logan Warmoth
UTIL: Kevin Vicuna
UTIL: Vinny Capra

Outfielders

I felt that Ryan Noda, Chavez Young and Demi Orimoloye would be shoo-ins for outfield spots in Dunedin and after moving names around on my spreadsheet, I had a hunch that Cal Stevenson would also join them.

Injured List
