On the second-last day of the minor-league season, the Toronto Blue Jays' affiliates were 2-2 with Yennsy Diaz having a strong finish to his season in New Hampshire.

Buffalo Bisons 12, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (NYY) 15

It was an old-fashioned slugfest on Sunday as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders came out on top with a 15-12 win.

Anthony Kay started for Buffalo, allowing nine runs (three earned) on seven hits (including a home run) with three walks and three strikeouts in just 2 2/3 innings. Conor Fisk allowed a run on three hits with a walk and three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. Justin Shafer allowed three runs in the seventh inning, giving up five hits and Ty Tice surrendered two runs on a hit (a home run) and a walk with two strikeouts in the eighth.

Forrest Wall hit his first triple-A home run, going 2/3 with two walks, two RBI and three runs while Santiago Espinal was 2/4 with a walk, two RBI and a run. Anthony Alford was 2/6 with a double and an RBI, scoring a run and stealing a base while Socrates Brito was 2/4 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI and two runs. Roemon Fields drove in two runs on two sac flies with a walk and Andy Burns hit his 18th home run of the year, going 1/4 with a solo shot, a walk and two runs. Richard Urena was 1/4 with a walk and a run and Michael De La Cruz was 1/4 with two runs.

Roster Notes: Patrick Cantwell was activated off the 7-day IL and Anthony Kay was activated off the temporarily inactive list. Beau Taylor was recalled by the Toronto Blue Jays.

New Hampshire Fisher Cats 7, Portland Sea Dogs (BOS) 1

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats got a big win in their penultimate game of the year, beating the Portland Sea Dogs 7-1.

Yennsy Diaz closed his season with a bang, tossing seven innings and giving up just one run on one hit with two walks and eight strikeouts in a gem. Corey Copping struck out one in the eighth and Dany Jimenez struck out one in the ninth to finish the game.

Brock Lundquist had a big game, going 2/4 with a triple and a home run, driving in four and scoring twice. Andres Sotillo was 2/4 with a run and Nash Knight was 2/5 with a double and an RBI. Vinny Capra was 1/4 with an RBI and a run and Kevin Smith was 1/4 with a run and a stolen base. Cullen Large was 1/5 and Joshua Palacios continued his power surge, hitting another home run, a solo shot, going 1/5.

Lansing Lugnuts 7, Fort Wayne TinCaps (SD) 5

The Lansing Lugnuts beat the Fort Wayne TinCaps 7-5 on Sunday.

Yorman Rodriguez was 3/5 with a double, two RBI and a run, adding a stolen base while Griffin Conine was 2/5 with a double and an RBI. Otto Lopez (Montreal, Que.) was 2/5 with a double, two RBI, two runs and a stolen base and Tanner Kirwer (Sherwood Park, Alta.) was 3/5 with an RBI and a run. Jesus Lopez was 1/3 with a walk, an RBI and a run and John Aiello was 1/4 with a walk and a run.

Cobi Johnson went 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits (including a home run) with four walks and a strikeout. Andy McGuire allowed two hits and a walk in 2 1/3 innings, striking out one and Brody Rodning got the save, striking out two in the ninth.

Vancouver Canadians 3, Everett AquaSox (SEA) 11

The Vancouver Canadians lost again to the Everett AquaSox, losing 11-3.

Luis Quinones started the game and had his first rough outing, allowing six runs on five hits (including a home run) with three walks and four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Nick Fraze surrendered a solo home run among two hits with a walk and three strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings. Mike Pascoe allowed three runs on a hit and a walk with a hit batter and two wild pitches and didn't get anyone out and Grayson Huffman threw the last two innings, allowing both inherited runners to score, surrendering a run of his own on three hits and two walks with one strikeout.

Ryan Sloniger was 2/4 with a double and a run while Trevor Schwecke was 1/3 with a solo home run. Luis De Los Santos was 1/4 with two RBI and a stolen base and Spencer Horwitz was 1/4 with a run.
