Majors sign outfielder Jacob Mansfield for 2019

LONDON - The London Majors, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) are pleased to announce the signing of local London outfielder Jacob Mansfield for the 2019 season.

Mansfield is familiar with the confines of Labatt Park as he was a junior call up for the Majors in 2018 playing a total of 12 games while playing full time for the St. Thomas Tomcats in the Junior IBL. Jacob is currently studying criminology at Saginaw Valley State while playing for the NCAA DII school.

The 6’0” 190lbs left-handed hitter also won the London Badgers best hitter in 2013. Before attending Saginaw Valley State, Mansfield was a student at Saunders Secondary School.

The London Majors are a member of Ontario's most elite baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
