OTTAWA- Junior National Team catcher Noah Naylor (Mississauga, ON) was among nine names announced today by Baseball Factory as participants in the 10th annual Under Armour® All-America Baseball Game that will take place on Saturday, July 29th at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The game will be broadcast on MLB Network.

The Under Armour All-America Baseball Game, powered by Baseball Factory, annually brings together the top 40 high school players in the United States and Canada to play at iconic Wrigley Field in an American vs National game.

Naylor is set to become the 11th Canadian to participate in the game as he’ll join his brother, Josh (2014), along with the late Jake Eliopoulos (2008), Kellin Deglan (2009), Evan Rutckyj (2009), Skylar Janisse (2010), Ryan Kellogg (2011), Gareth Morgan (2011), Demi Orimoloye (2014), Andy Yerzy (2015) and Adam Hall (2016). All of the aforementioned played with Baseball Canada’s Junior National Team program at one time.

“It’s certainly an honour to be selected to the Under Armour All-America Game and to be mentioned with all the great Canadian players to play in the past,” said Naylor. “I know the experience in Chicago will be first-class so (the game) is definitely something I’m looking forward to in 2017.”

The Under Armour All-America game is part of the four-day event, providing players with a once-in-a-lifetime baseball experience. During the week, athletes will participate in a formal workout in front of Major League Baseball scouts, and participate in a home run derby.

Since the game’s inception in 2008, 247 of the 286 draft eligible players from the Under Armour All-America Game have been selected in the MLB Amateur Draft including 71 first round picks that include Canadians Kellin Deglan (Texas, 2010) and Josh Naylor (Miami, 2015).

Naylor joined the Junior National Team program in October 2015 for the annual Fall Instructional League Camp and has participated in five training camps with the program since.

He is eligible for the 2018 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft and is verbally committed to Texas A&M University for the 2019 season.
