The first 50 players for the annual Tournament 12 based on tryouts staged by the Toronto Blue Jays Academy have been selected.

The final 100 players will be named here on Aug. 19, 2019.

The first 50 are happy to be on the board as this fall marks a new format for T-12 as rosters will no longer be based on regional teams. Rather than and eight-team format, the best 150 players in Canada will be divided appropriately among six teams.

T-12 takes place between Sept. 17-21.

The Canadian Baseball Network’s top five players headed into next June’s draft are RHP Theo Millas (Burnaby, BC) of the Langley Blaze and the Junior National Team. Millas has committed to LSU

RHP Simon Lusignan (Varennes, Que.) an Okotoks Dawgs and formerly of Academy Baseball Canada and the Canadian Junior National Team. He has committed to pitch for the Stetson Hatters.

LHP-1B Justin Thorsteinson (Langley, BC) of the Blaze as well as the Junior National Team. He is an Oregon State commit.

LHP Connor O’Halloran (Mississauga, Ont.) of the Ontario Terriers and Junior National Team. He has signed to pitch for the Michigan Wolverines and is the son of former major leaguer Greg O’Halloran.
