ICYMI: Inaugural T12 changed Case's career

With the start of Tournament 12 just six days away, we wanted to revive this excellent article by Canadian Baseball Network alum and now MLB.com reporter Alexis Brudnicki about Saint John, N.B., native Andrew Case who was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays after starring in the inaugural T12 event. Case made it high as triple-A in parts of six seasons in the Blue Jays organization, before retiring in April. Case will return to the event this year as a coach for Team Black.

Josh Naylor’s offensive profile on the rise with Padres

Clark, of the East Village Times, writes that when Eric Hosmer was signed in February 2018, most thought that meant the end of Mississauga, Ont., native Josh Naylor in a San Diego Padres uniform. That has not proven to be the case, as the young left-handed hitter turned himself into a serviceable outfielder. The Padres, in need of left-handed hitters, have given Naylor plenty of time in the outfield in the last few weeks. He has responded by putting up a .286/.354/.529 slash line in the last 30 days and 70 at-bats at the major league level.
