OTTAWA – Baseball Canada is pleased to announce the names of 31 athletes who’ve been invited to attend the Junior National Team’s Pro Academy Camp from May 13 to 21 in the Dominican Republic.

The Dominican Pro Academy Camp has been a cornerstone of development for the Junior National Team program with this camp being the 22nd edition since 2001.

The 10-day camp will take place in the east coast of the Dominican Republic, home to the vast majority of the 30 Major League Baseball clubs’ player development academies.

The camp will feature 13 professional games, five single game days and four doubleheaders, as the Junior National Team will tour pro academies from the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, and San Diego Padres organizations.

All 31 players invited to camp participated in the Junior National Team Extended Spring Training Camp last month in Dunedin, Fla.

Head coach and director of men’s national teams Greg Hamilton leads the coaching staff that includes former MLB players and National Team alums Chris Begg, Dustin Molleken and Pete Orr.
