Gretier, Marruffo lead Dawgs at the plate

Okotoks, Alta. _ The Okotoks Dawgs (10-7) continued their winning ways as they won their third straight game, beating the Brooks Bombers (2-14) on home soil at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks.

The bats got hot starting in the fourth inning where Josh McIntyre (Everett Community College) got a one out single to start the rally. Kellen Marruffo (University of Utah) would reach second base before being scored by Michael Gretler (Oregon State University) on a double. 

Gretler would finish the game 2-for-4, with two hits and two RBIs. Marruffo would also have an impressive night, going 2-for-4, two hits and two RBIs.

Garret Ciuk (Mission College) got his fourth start of the year, going six innings and allowing five hits, one run, one earned run along with one walk and strike out. Ciuk would get credit for the win, his first of the year and is now 1-1 overall. 

Tyler Burdett (Dixie State University), Anthony Baldaras (Lewis-Clark State University) and Christian Parsons (Lower Columbia College) would all come into pitch one inning of relief.

The Dawgs are on the road Friday, as they travel to play Lethbridge, Edmonton and Fort McMurray before coming home to Seaman Stadium to play the Edmonton Prospects on Wednesday June 29. Game time is set for 7:05 pm.
