Spring at Iowa Western as red shirt freshman _ Hit .371 with nine home runs, 59 RBIs, 60 runs scored and seven stolen bases … On the mound was 7-0 with a 2.78 ERA fanning 58 in 55 innings … Helped the Reivers to 52-15 record to finish fourth in the national tournament.  
 
2015 season at Iowa Western _ Did not see any game action, due to arm injury.   
 
2014 season with Team Canada _ Helped team win bronze at the 2014 World Junior qualifier in Mexico…

2011 season, Okotoks Dawgs black _ Earn Midget National Championship in Quebec City, Que. As a first-year midget he threw a complete game, and beat BC 4-1.

2010 season, Okotoks Dawgs black _ Helped lead them to a silver medal at the Bantam Nationals in Vaughn, Ont.

Perfect Game Scouting Reports: 2013 Spring Top Prospect Showcase _ Matt Lloyd is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Okotoks, AB who attends Foothills Composite HS. Nice projectable athletic build, room to get stronger. 7.20 runner, nice infield actions defensively, charges well and works through the ball, stays balanced with soft hands, very good arm strength with accuracy, shows overall athleticism. Left handed hitter, stays inside the ball consistently, loose swing with good bat speed, has extension out front, line drive plane, best contact pulling the ball, hitting tools to continue to improve. Also pitched, high 3/4’s release slot, arm works well from a sound delivery, fastball topped at 84 mph, big breaking curve ball with deep 11/5 shape, threw strikes and had an idea. Quality all around player who projects to keep improving. PG Grade: 9
