Tim was coached by Gary Jefferies. Jefferies is the nephew of former Brooklyn Dodger Walt Jefferies and later a long-time Blue Jays scout.

Drafted: In the 16th round (466th overall) by the Minnesota Twins in 2017.

2020 season at University of Hawaii:  Came out of the bullpen for his first appearance of the season in his club’s second and final game against Hawai'i-Hilo … Shifted to the starting rotation for North Dakota State and Washington State series … Hurled season-high six innings in relief against Oregon on March 7 … Fanned a career-high nine batters against Oregon in that same outing … Earned UH Scholar-Athlete Award.

2019 season at University of Hawaii: Appeared in 16 games, making seven starts … Moved into the starting rotation after the first weekend of Big West play … Struck out a season-high seven batters in four innings in first appearance of the year against Portland on Feb. 16 … Struck out five and recorded a four-inning save against Iowa on Feb. 22 … Tied career-high by tossing 6 1/3 innings against CSUN on April 26 … Named academic All-Big West.

2018 season at University of Hawaii: Made 13 appearances, including six starts and posted a 4.62 ERA … Recorded 37 strikeouts … Made collegiate debut picking up a strikeout in 2/3 of an inning against Air Force on Feb. 16 … Hurled season-high 6 1/3 innings, allowing only an unearned run on three hits and no walks with four strikeouts for first college win over Illinois State on March 15 … Struck out six batters in second start versus Seton Hall on March 25) … Had five strikeouts in five innings against Cal Poly on May 5 … Ended his freshman campaign with three strikeouts in two innings in a start against Fresno State on May 13.

Allowed four runs on six hits and two walks in four innings against the DSL Yankees, while fanning seven ... Extended spring trip with JNT: Had one scoreless outing against the Tigers, also pitched in an intra-squad game ... Facing Tigers walked one, gave up one hit and struck out a pair against the Tigers, retiring eight straight . . . Spring trip with JNT: Allowed five runs on nine hits and one walk, while fanning two. Threw 66.7% first-pitch strikes ... Did not allow an earned run in his three innings of work against the Rays working his way out of trouble in the fifth, getting a double play after a single and an error put runners on first and second with one out ... Struck out a pair against the Phillies, allowing five runs on four hits and one walk.

2016 season: Fall Florida trip with JNT: Fanned four in five innings in two outings against the Astros ... Tournament 12: Five scoreless innings allowed two hits, three walks and 10 strikeouts.
