Scouting Report
Baseball America
“Lachance is an ultra-physical, 6-foot-5, 230-pound catcher who spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at McLennan (Texas) CC before transferring to Oklahoma for his junior year. He hit safely in 17 of his first 22 Division I games and showed above-average raw power, though below-average angles have kept much of his best contact on a line. He is an aggressive swinger with a tendency to chase. Lachance has made considerable progress defensively, where he has shown one of the stronger arms in the country and above-average pop times. He is a solid receiver with room to improve and projects to stick behind the plate.”
Perfect Game
“Big left-handed bat speed and strength, lived on the barrel at PG National, highest ranking 2026 Canadian hitter.”
