Connor Caskenette is all over our Canadian Baseball Network stats page amongst JUCO players.

The former Mid Island Pirate, who also travelled south with the DBacks Langley Blaze can be found in a lot of the categories.

Let’s take a look at how many times C Caskenette (Duncan, BC) of the Cochise College Apaches shows on Pete Berryman’s wonderful, in-depth look at the best at each and every level as he sits ...

_ First overall ... in games played (61) -- 20th in North America -- two more than C Ben Columbus (North Vancouver, BC) of the Wharton County Pioneers.

_ Second overall in hits (84) -- 11th overall in North America -- six behind leader Ricardo Sanchez (Okotoks, Alta.), last year’s winner of the Canadian Baseball Network’s Okotoks Dawgs scholarship. Sanchez is with the Barton County Cougars.

_ Second overall in doubles (23) -- 20th in North America -- 12 behind Barton’s Sanchez.

_ Third overall in RBIs (58), behind Sanchez (89) and Tom Poole (Calgary, Alta.) of the Cloud County T-Birds (68).

_ Seventh in batting average (.364) - 13th in North America -- behind Sanchez (.457), Liam Bushey (Mission, BC) of the Mineral Area Cardinals (.427), Cleary Simpson (Elnora, Alta.) of the Colby Trojans (.392), Alejandro Cazorla (Okotoks, Alta.) of the Bossier Parish Cavaliers (.392), Dawson Tanner (Russell, Man.) of South Suburban Bulldogs (.376) and Nick Tremblay (Trois-Rivieres, Que.) of the Trinidad State Trojans (.365).

And this fall, Caskenette will take his bat to the Purdue Boilermakers.

Among all JUCO hitters he is 13th in North America in both total bases and walks.
