Yes, there are more Collymore players coming.

Malik Collymore was a 10th-round draft pick of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2013. He was rookie-class Johnson City when the Cards dealt him to the Milwaukee Brewers for reliever Jonathan Broxton.

And last week OF Rashad Collymore (Mississauga, Ont.), Malik's younger brother, impressed at the 16th annual Sunshine East Showcase run by Perfect Game Scouting Service.

The original version of the Sunshine Showcase series, will be held at the 5-Plex/Terry Park in Fort Myers, Fla. This highlight event, one of five Sunshine events now held across the country in early May/June to kick off the summer season, has featured numerous future Major Leaguers over the years, including 2010 NL Most Valuable Player Joey Votto (Etobicoke, Ont.) in 2001.

Rashad Collymore (Mississauga, Ont.) of the Ontario Blue Jays was ranked the seventh best of the top 17 prospects for 2017. He was the fastest man in the building clocked in a 6.54 60.

Malik Collymore moved from second base to left field this season batting .276 with 10 doubles, four triples, three homers and 23 RBIs in his time split between the two organizations.

And the 13th ranked prospect was SS Owen Jansen (Oakville, Ont.) also of the Ontario Blue Jays.

Rawlings 2017 Top Prospects
1. David Vazquez  - SS - 2017 - Hialeah, FL - USA

Vazquez stood out on both sides of the ball and may have as much promise on the mound as he does at shortstop. He looks bigger and stronger than his listed 6-1/171 but is athletic and smooth at shortstop with big arm strength. Vazquez was 87-89 mph on the mound with good life and an easy and athletic delivery.

7. Rashad Collymore  - OF - 2017 - Mississauga, ON - CAN
Collymore is a very quick twitch athlete whose 6.5 speed is especially impactful in the bases, where he gets outstanding jumps and has instant acceleration. He also shows raw bat speed from both sides of the plate, with a more polished swing right handed.

13. Owen Jansen  - SS - 2017 - Oakville, ON - CAN
Jansen is a polished middle infielder with the tools and skills to stay at shortstop at the next level. He’s a 6.9 runner who showed range at shortstop and is a high average right handed hitter with a polished line drive swing.
