Name: OF Noah Corrente
Hometown: Squamish, BC
Team: Okotoks Dawgs Academy/Team Black.
Committed: Iowa Western Community College.
Who is the most influential person in your baseball life and why? “My dad, David. He played at a high level, including for Team Canada and getting drafted by the Blue Jays (Dave Corrente played for Team Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays and played for eight seasons at rookie-class Medicine Hat, class-A Charleston, class-A Auburn, class-A Lansing, class-A Dunedin, double-A New Hampshire and triple-A Syracuse, in 342 games). He taught me a lot about baseball and has always pushed me to work hard and get better.”
Who is the most influential person in your baseball life, beside your father, and why? “My Nonno, John Corrente. He has always supported me and been there for me. He’s always encouraging me and reminding me to work hard but also have fun with it. And whatever happens, happens.”
Your greatest day on the ball field? “Winning the Nationals with the Cloverdale Rangers in 2025. We weren’t really expected to win the whole thing, but we kept battling and ended up coming out on top.”
Your favourite player and why? “Bo Bichette. He’s been one of my favourite players over the last couple years. I’ve really enjoyed watching him play, and I think he’s super fun to watch. I like how he plays and competes every time he’s on the field.”
If not a pro player, what’s the next best job you’d want to have when you grow up? “A physical therapist. I like sports and working with people, so I think it would be a pretty good fit for me.”
What’s the most important life rule/thing you’ve learned playing ball? “Keep showing up and putting in the work. Baseball is a game where you’re going to fail a lot, so I’ve learned not to get too caught up in the bad days. Keep working and trust that it’ll pay off.”
What four people — dead or alive — would you invite to a mythical dinner to ask them questions? “Nolan Ryan to ask: how did you keep your arm healthy for so long? Bo Bichette to ask: how do you stay so confident when things aren’t going your way? Ken Griffey, Jr. to ask: what was your mindset like when you were playing in your prime? and Jackie Robinson, to ask: how were you able to keep your cool while facing so much pressure?”

Who is the most influential person in your baseball life and why?: “Jamie Romak (former Tip O’Neill award winner presented by Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys in 2020). He’s someone who has been a cornerstone in all aspects of my development. He’s someone who I take great pride in listening to and learning from, not only hitting and general baseball conversations, but also with everyday life. Not to mention that he’s practically molded my swing and approach.”
Your greatest day on the ball field? “This year I had a two-homer game including a game tying grand slam with two outs and two strikes, in the top of the final inning (against Fieldhouse Pirates). Bonus points that both home runs were off friends.”
Your favourite player and why? “Currently my favourite player is Munetaka Murakami. I admire his ability to step into a new environment with many doubts rumoring about his ability and dominate so quickly. He’s also a pretty funny guy.”
If not a pro player, what’s the next best job you’d want to have when you grow up? “I’d love anything regarding baseball - whether that be scouting, coaching, or becoming an analyst. With all of those jobs, I get to be around the game every day, and if that’s the case then it’s never truly a job.”
What’s the most important life rule/thing you’ve learned playing ball? “Slow is smooth, smooth is fast, don’t rush it.”
What four people -- dead or alive -- would you invite to a mythical diner to ask them questions and what would you ask: “1. Jesus - How to be a better man? 2. Barry Bonds - What went through your mind on an 0-2 count in the 2001 season? 3. Terry Fox - How to wake up with that level of discipline every single day? 4. Joey Votto - How did analytics affect your career and how did you utilize them within your training and in game?”
Sylvan Lake Gulls’ INF Dayne Liske (Drayton Velley, Alta.)
Name: INF Dayne Liske
Hometown: Drayton Valley. Alta.
Teams: Sylvan Lake Gulls Prep, St. Joseph High School/Team Royal.
School: Uncommitted.
Who is the most influential person in your baseball life and why? “My brother Carter (who committed to Southwestern Oregon Community College). Watching him play through his career and seeing his hard work pay off and watch him succeed.”
Who is the most influential person in your baseball life, beside your brother and why? “I would say my mom, Raelene, because she always is there supporting me even if she doesn’t want to be at the ball field.”
Your greatest day on the ball field? “Making the Morneau Cup final on The Road to Okotoks.”
Your favourite player and why? “Ernie Clement because he’s a gamer — not flashy or anything. He plays the game.”
If not a pro player, what’s the next best job you’d want to have when you grow up? “I would say a coach or a firefighter.”
What’s the most important life rule/thing you’ve learned playing ball? “To have fun and enjoy because you can’t do it forever. So appreciate little things in life.”
What four people -- dead or alive would you invite to a mythical diner to ask them questions: “Adam Sandler, Ernie Clement, Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby. They are some of my favourite people to watch and would think that they would have good stories to share.”
Webber Wildcats Cohen Miller (Calgary, Alta.)
Name: SS Cohen Miller
Hometown: Calgary, Alta.
Teams: Webber Wildcats/Team New Blue.
Committed: Kansas State University.
Who is the most influential person in your baseball life and why? “My hitting coach Cole Armstrong. He has taken an approach of teaching that allows me to identify my problems by myself and be able to work on fixing it myself.”
Your greatest day on the ball field? “Success early on in a game such as a hit or a nice play in the field leading to extra confidence I can build off throughout the rest of the game. Although, of course, this doesn’t always happen but it makes it a lot easier when it does.”
Your favourite player and why? “Bobby Witt, Jr. because he is the player any shortstop would want to emulate. He has all the traits that make the game exciting, great fielding, speed, and some pop behind it.”
If not a pro player, what’s the next best job you’d want to have when you grow up? “A pro golfer. It would be a great job as an alternative. It is typically played in fantastic locations and good weather and is a job where your monetary rewards are directly linked to your successes. Like baseball. It also has a very similar technical element to it with swing analysis etc. that would be very transferable.”
What’s the most important life rule/thing you’ve learned playing ball? “Being able to look forward past failures and understand that it is part of a process. The skill of taking your mind off of a conflict that is causing you stress is one of the most useful I have taken from the sport.”
What four people -- dead or alive would you invite to a mythical diner to ask them questions: “My two grandfathers (Jim, who I never met and Les, who passed when I was very young), Bobby Witt and (comedian) Theo Von.”
