13U AAA, 10U A baseball teams win big at year-end events

For the first time since 2014, the Abbotsford Angels are mosquito (10U) A provincial champions.
The team capped off an incredible summer season with an 11-3 win over the Cloverdale Spurs in the title game on August 5.
The Angels finished with an overall record of 31-1-1, and went undefeated in league play.
They finished second in the season-opening Boulanger Tournament in Cloverdale and went on to win both the Burnaby Summer Fun and Abbotsford Midsummer Classic tournaments.
Abbotsford went a perfect 4-0 in round robin play for the provincials, defeating Cloverdale 15-1, the Central Okanagan 11-1, Ladner 21-5 and Nanaimo 8-2. The Angels then moved on to defeat the Richmond Chuckers 13-6 in the provincial semifinal.
The roster includes: Jaxon Beck, Dylan DeMeyer, Kale Jonah, Tyson Kirton, Carter Korstrom, Alex Manuel, Austin Meinen, Karsten Nichol, Max Pratt, Eli Schotts, Ryder Silverton, Ethan Whitlock, head coach Jamie Beck and assistant coaches Mike Pratt and Brett De Meyer.
The Abbotsford Angels 13U AAA squad are also provincial champions and now head to San Diego as the Team BC representative at the Triple Crown Sports San Diego Summer Sizzle 13U tournament, which runs until Monday in the California city.
The Angels finished a perfect 5-0 in round robin play at the provincials in Vernon over the weekend, and then defeated North Shore 2-1 in the semifinal before winning the final on Sunday.
The 13U’s had a strong summer, also winning the Valley of Champions tournament in Kelowna in July.
The 13U AAA roster includes: Micah Barker, Jimmy Boulanger, Hudson Brandsma, Logan Clark, Cardel Dick, Trey Gairdner, Levi Kliewer, David Krahn, Theo Manuel, Kaden Meeker, Ronan Sexton, Landon Wakelyn and head coach Colin Sexton.
