Blue Jays unveil 2021 schedule

The Toronto Blue Jays today unveiled its 2021 regular season schedule.

The club’s 45th season will begin on the road with an Opening Day divisional matchup against the New York Yankees on Thursday, April 1, followed by a three-game series against the Texas Rangers from April 5 to 7.

The Blue Jays Home Opener will take place on Thursday, April 8, with a four-game Opening Weekend series against the Los Angeles Angels, both presented by TD.

Below are some 2021 regular season schedule highlights:

-*20 Interleague games vs. the NL East *(10 home, 10 away), including a two-game series at Rogers Centre against the 2019 World Series Champion Washington Nationals

-Home – (WSH: April 27 & 28), (ATL: April 30 to May 2), (PHI: May 14 to 16), (MIA: June 1 & 2)

-Away – (ATL: May 11 to 13), (MIA: June 22 & 23), (NYM: July 23 to 25), (WSH: August 17 & 18)

-Two long weekend series at home over Victoria Day (May 21 to 24 vs. TB) and the Civic Holiday (July 30 to August 2 vs. KC and CLE)

- *Blue Jays storm Seattle *again on their six-game summer western road trip (August 10 to 12 vs. LAA and August 13 to 15 vs. SEA)

The Blue Jays are also announcing the 2021 promotions schedule, which features many of the highly anticipated giveaways and special occasions fans were looking forward to in 2020, with more featured dates to be added closer to the season. Highlights include:

-Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Home Run Counter Bobblehead giveaway on Saturday, April 10 of Opening Weekend, both presented by TD

-Cavan Biggio “Hit for the Cycle” Bobblehead giveaway on Victoria Day, Monday, May 24

-Hyun Jin Ryu Blue Replica Jersey giveaway night on Thursday, June 17

-Blue Jays Spider-Man Figurine presented by Toys “R” Us on Saturday, June 26

-Vlad & Dad Dual Bobblehead giveaway on Canada Day, both presented by Honda, on Thursday, July 1

-Blue Jays F.R.I.E.N.D.S T-Shirt giveaway on Friday, July 16

-“Bo Flow” Bobblehead giveaway on the Civic Holiday, Monday, Aug. 2
