A Canadian is off to Omaha.

Enough said.

Davalan, Razorbacks punch ticket to College World Series

Outfielder Charles Davalan (Montreal Que.) had three hits, walked three times, drove in three, stole a base and was hit by a pitch as Arkansas swept their Super Regional against Southeastern Conference rival Tennessee to book their trip to the College World Series. Davalan’s big blow came in Game 2 when he hit a two-run home run off top 2025 MLB draft prospect Liam Doyle.

White with five hits in Super Regional

Canada was close to having two players in the College World Series. Sam White (Aurora, Ont.) pounded out five hits, including a solo home run, and drove in two for West Virginia in their Super Regional against LSU. It wasn’t enough, though, as the Tigers swept the series. White finishes the season leading the Mountaineers with a .361 average.

Froehlich finishes 10-0

Kyle Froelich (Nipawin, Sask.) got the ball in Game 2 of the Division II College World Series for the University of Texas at Tyler and delivered 6 2/3 innings in a 6-2 win over Felician. He allowed two runs on seven hits and struck out five. It was the only win the Patriots would get in the national championship tournament. Froehlich ends his senior season with a 10-0 record and a 2.75 ERA.

That’s a wrap for the 2025 BMOC column.

Thanks for reading and we’ll see you in 2026.
