Tucker Zdunich (High River, Alta.) put his power on display for the Reinhardt University Eagles last week.

In a 12-6 midweek victory over Faulkner, Zdunich went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, three RBIs and a stolen base.

And that was just the beginning.

During a 14-1 Game 1 victory over Bluefield, Zdunich again went 3-for-4 with all three hits leaving the yard. He opened the scoring with a solo shot in the top of the first before hitting another solo shot in the top of the third. To cap it off, he swatted a two-run home run the very next inning.

Those two games alone would’ve made for a good week, but Zdunich wasn’t done there. He was 4-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk in the Eagles’ 20-6 Game 2 win.

To close out his strong week he had a hit, a walk and two RBI in an 8-1 series sweeping win.

Zdunich is hitting .358 with seven home runs, 24 RBI, a .471 on-base percentage, a .705 slugging percentage and five stolen bases this season.

For his efforts, he was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week. He is also the Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Week for March 20 to 26.
