People in Alberta know all about what Tyrelle Chadwick (Kamloops, BC) can do on the mound thanks to his time with the Okotoks Dawgs Academy.

After this past weekend, the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff also know of the Illinois State University right-hander.

Chadwick threw a complete game, nine inning shutout in a 5-0 Game 2 win over the Golden Lions.

The son of former big leaguer, Ray Chadwick, allowed just one hit and struck out 12 to improve his record to 2-1.

In his last two starts, he’s given up two runs over 14 innings.

Chadwick will be put to the test this coming weekend as the Redbirds hit the road to face No. 9 Vanderbilt.

He’ll head to the Music City as the reigning Canadian Baseball Network College Player of the Week.
