TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club have re-signed outfielder and right-handed pitcher Ben Sitarenios for the upcoming 2026 season.

Sitarenios, who made his debut with the Maple Leafs in 2025, emerged as a two-way player, appearing in 20 games with the bat while tossing four innings over two outings. Over 44 at-bats, he hit .250 with five RBIs and three walks.

On the mound, Sitarenios recorded the win in his first outing as he went a scoreless two innings against Brantford on June 10 in a 14-8 Maple Leafs victory. He then tossed another two innings against Barrie in August, allowing one run on two hits.

Prior to joining Toronto, Sitarenios appeared with Salem University (NCAA) over four seasons (2021-2024) making 41 appearances while also striking out 41. The native of Richmond Hill, Ont., is a graduate of the Toronto Mets program, and has appeared three times as a member of Team Ontario in Baseball Canada’s 22U National Championship tournament. Over those three years, Sitarenios won both a gold and silver medal.

The two-way player is now the second member of the 2025 roster to re-sign, alongside Mike Cecchetto.
