Dennis Eckersley coined the term “walk off” during the 1988 World Series.

He gave up a game-winning, two-run home run to an injured Kirk Gibson and then Eckersley ... “just walked off.”

Mike Lumley’s former London Badgers INF Jamie Romak knows a thing about a knock off or two. And his most recent one -- a two-run homer -- for an 8-7 win over the Lotte Giants in Korean Baseball Organization play.

After touring the bases for the walk off, Romak made the tour of the bases and kneeled at home plate while surrounded by his happy teammates. Apparently an exuberant teammate clipped him on the back of the head with a helmet.

The homer was his 13th this season and his 116th in 443 games facing pitchers from against the Doosan Bears, Hanwha Eagles, Kia Tigers, Kiwoom Heroes, KT Wiz, LG Twins, NC Dinos, Samsung Lions and the Giants, whose reliever Kim Won Joong the pitch to threw to Romak ... and walked off.

For the week, Romak hit .278 (5-for-18) with two homers and three RBIs to earn Canadian Baseball Network player of the week.
