Crowell, Forno, Kauffman propel Dawgs to win over Bulls

The Okotoks Dawgs got powerful performances on both sides of the ball on Saturday night in a 10-7 road win over the Lethbridge Bulls.
The Dawgs’ offence was led by leadoff hitter Ayden Crouse who went 3-for-6 with three RBIs, including a leadoff home run in the first.
The Dawgs’ offence also got valuable contributions from Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) who went 2-for-4 with three runs and a walk. Jayden Lusk also had a nice night, going 2-for-3 with a pair of runs.
Landon Kauffman (Vancouver, B.C.) added two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.
The Dawgs’ pitching was led by starter Brody Forno (Okotoks, Alta.) who struck out five in five scoreless innings.
Eric DeCosta came on to contribute a scoreless seventh inning in relief, while Brody Burnette close things out in the ninth to preserve the win.
With the victory, the Dawgs improve to 22-9 on the year.
They now head home to face the Bulls in a rematch on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is set for 2:05 p.m. at Seaman Stadium.
