Crowell's eight RBIs power Dawgs to win

Slugger Nash Crowell had two home runs and eight RBIs to lead the Okotoks Dawgs to a 12-1 win over the Sylvan Lake Gulls in front of 5,255 fans at Seaman Stadium on Thursday.

In total, Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) had three hits and scored three runs.

Jayden Lusk added a double and a home run, while Jordan Kievman reached base four times, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs, two RBIs and two walks.

On the mound, Logan Rumberg (Saskatoon, Sask.) started and delivered a sharp six-inning outing, surrendering just one run on five hits while striking out eight. Will Labonté (Montreal, Que.) kept the momentum going with two scoreless innings in relief.

The Dawgs will now head to Sylvan Lake to take on the Gulls on Friday before returning to Seaman Stadium on Saturday to host the Energy City Cactus Rats at 7:05 p.m.
