Okotoks Dawgs
The Okotoks Dawgs beat the Brooks Bombers 9-2 on Thursday to complete a sweep of their first-round playoff series.
Offensively, Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) led the way with a monster performance, going 4-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs.
Ricardo Sanchez (Gonzaga University) added two hits and an RBI, while Barry Eiseman (Reinhardt University) chipped in with a three-hit game of his own. Leo Cote (Boucherville, Que.) also drove in a run and walked once, and Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) added a hit, a walk, and scored a run.
On the mound, Ryan Rembisz (University Of Portland) was sharp over seven innings, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out 12.
Frank Flores (Colorado State University Pueblo) struggled in relief, giving up three hits and one run in two-thirds of an inning. Chase Tucker (Mount Pearl, Nfld.) closed it out with a clean inning, striking out two and allowing just one hit.
The Dawgs are now set to host the first game of the WCBL West Division Finals on Sunday at Seaman Stadium.
