Dawgs complete sweep of Red Sox

The Okotoks Dawgs picked up a 7-3 win over the Regina Red Sox on Friday night at Seaman Stadium.

Offensively, Leo Cote (Sherbrooke, Que.) led the way for the Dawgs with a hit and two RBIs. Kadyn Williams (Pittsburg State University) and Logan Grant (Calgary, Alta.) had two-hit nights, while Jason Arriola (Colorado State University Pueblo) contributed two RBIs.

Jake Skaggs (Pittsburg State University) also reached base three times via two walks and a hit.

On the mound, Jase Wessels (Bellevue University) started and gave the Dawgs four solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits.

Ryan McFarland (Calgary, Alta.), Frank Flores (Colorado State University Pueblo), and Alex Oliver (Colorado State University Pueblo) each threw scoreless innings in relief.

The WCBL All-Star Game will be played at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks on Saturday.
