The Okotoks Dawgs got back in the win column with a 5-1 victory over the Brooks Bombers at Seaman Stadium on Saturday night.

The Dawgs’ offence was led by Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) who had three hits and an RBI.

Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University) belted his seventh home run of the season for the Dawgs, as part of his 2-for-4 performance. Kadyn Williams (Pittsburg State University) and Aidan Rose (Calgary, Alta.) also had two hits each.

On the mound, Seth Gurr (Coldale, Alta.) started and allowed just one run, while striking out five, in 6 2/3 innings. Relievers Trey Mackwood (Calgary, Alta.), Alex Oliver (Colorado State University - Pueblo), and Easton Corey (Linn-Benton Community College) then combined to keep the Bombers off the scoreboard the rest of the way.

The Dawgs will play the Bombers again at Seaman Stadium on Sunday.
