The Okotoks Dawgs picked up another win on Friday night, overcoming the Fort McMurray Giants 12-9 in front of 5,433 fans at Seaman Stadium.
Sparking the Dawgs' offence was Jacob Wrubleski (Okotoks, Alta.), who went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run.
Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.), Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) and Lachlan Maude (Toronto, Ont.) also turned in productive performances, combining to score 10 runs in the victory.
On the mound, Evan Lehnert got the start, throwing three innings and striking out three.
Lincoln Berg, Wyatt Sadleir (Calgary, Alta.), Ryan Stone, Max McCraray and Brody Burnette took over in relief, combining for a strong bullpen performance to keep the opposition in check.
With the win, the Dawgs improved to 21-9 on the season.
They will now head out on the road to play the Lethbridge Bulls on Saturday, before returning home to face the Bulls on Sunday at 2:05 p.m.
