The Dawgs’ offence was led by Landon Kauffman (Vancouver, B.C.) who had a home run and two RBIs.
Jacob Wrubleski (Okotoks, Alta.) came up big as well, going 3-for-4 with a run scored.
Matt Evans (Tillsonburg, Ont.) also came through with a pair of hits to drive in two runs, while Eric Machej (Edmonton, Alta.) clubbed a pinch-hit home run in his first game of the season for the Dawgs.
On the mound, Tyson Willis started and went six strong innings, allowing just one run and striking out three. Logan Rumberg (Saskatoon, Sask.) came on to work a scoreless seventh.
