The Okotoks Dawgs fell to the Medicine Hat Mavericks 5-4 on Friday night.
Despite the loss, the Dawgs' offence was hot with a total of 12 hits.
Kadyn Williams (Pittsburgh State University) led the charge, going 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run. Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University) also belted a monstrous home run in the seventh inning.
On the mound, Seth Gurr (Coldale, Alta.) started and allowed five runs on 10 hits in six innings. He struck out five batters.
Trey Mackwood (Calgary, Alta.) took over for Gurr and tossed a scoreless inning before Frank Flores (Colorado State University - Pueblo) followed with the same.
The Dawgs will now return to Seaman Stadium to face the Energy City Cactus Rats on Saturday at 7:05 pm for their 5 O’Clock Somewhere Saturday Celebration.
