The Okotoks Dawgs lost 7-6 to the Lethbridge Bulls at Seaman Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Dawgs rallied for five runs in the final two innings but it wasn’t enough. With the loss, their record dropped to 23-11 and the Bulls have pulled within one game of the Dawgs for the West Division lead.
Offensively, Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) went 2-for-4 and belted a two-run home run in the eighth inning for the Dawgs. Barry Eiseman (Reinhardt University) also had two hits, including a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth.
On the mound, Brady Baltus (Bellevue University) started and tossed 4 2/3 innings and permitted six unearned runs, while fanning three batters.
Jace Wessels (Bellevue University) contributed three scoreless innings in relief for the Dawgs.
The Dawgs will now play the Sylvan Lake Gulls at Seaman Stadium on Wednesday.
