Dawgs lose 7-5 to Gulls

The Okotoks Dawgs lost 7-5 to the Sylvan Lake Gulls at Gulls Stadium on Wednesday night.

Offensively for the Dawgs, Leo Cote (Boucherville, Que.) went 3-for-4 with a run and Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) had two hits and two RBIs.

Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University) also belted a two-run home run to temporarily tie the game in the sixth inning.

On the mound, Brady Baltus (Bellevue University) started and allowed just one earned run in 4 2/3 innings.

Several pitchers then made their debut in relief for the Dawgs, including Reid Madariaga (Seattle University), Garrett White (Bellevue University), Ryan Rembisz (University of Portland), and Evan Lehnert (Linn-Benton Community College).

The Dawgs will return home on Friday to play the Brooks Bombers at Seaman Stadium.
