Okotoks, Alta. – The Okotoks Dawgs lost 10-6 to the Fort McMurray Giants in front of 4,430 fans at Seaman Stadium on Thursday night.
The Dawgs’ offence was led by Nash Crowell (Yarmouth, N.S.) who went 3-for-4.
Newcomer Bryant Starr added a pair of hits, while Lachlan Maude (Toronto, Ont.) went 1-for-3 with a walk and drove in two runs.
On the mound, Reid Madriaga started for the Dawgs and went four innings before the bullpen took over.
Dalton Hoffart, Emmett Stacher, Bracken Rice and Korey Alston combined to throw five innings in relief.
With the loss, the Dawgs dropped to 20-9 on the year.
They continue their homestand with another game against the Giants on Friday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
