Okotoks, Alta. – The Okotoks Dawgs scored 10 runs in the third inning in a 16-9 win over the Lethbridge Bulls in front of 3,059 fans at Seaman Stadium on Thursday.

The Dawgs have now won nine games in a row and have improved their record to 14-3.

The Dawgs’ offence was led by another standout performance by Dawgs Academy alum Jacob Wrubleski (Okotoks, Alta.), who went 3-for-5, with four RBIs, including a pair of RBI doubles.

Fellow Dawgs Academy alum Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) also went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, while yet another Dawgs Academy alum Landon Kauffman (Vancouver, B.C.) continued his torrid hitting, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

The Dawgs’ bullpen once again excelled on the pitching side. Tonight it was Nolan Jackson (Grimsby, Ont.), Wyatt Sadleir (Calgary, Alta.), and Ashton Luera who were strong in the win, striking out a combined nine batters in six innings while allowing four runs. Luera struck out the side in the ninth to secure the win.

The Dawgs will now look ahead to their next matchup, a resumed game on Friday in Lethbridge against the Bulls after it was paused on Tuesday due to a rain delay. They then return home Saturday for a meeting with the Moose Jaw Miller Express at Seaman Stadium. First pitch for both is set for 7:05 p.m.
