Official Okotoks Dawgs News Release
Okotoks, Alta. – John Ircandia, managing director of the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club made the following announcement at the Dawgs Annual Christmas Dinner.
Tyler Hollick, who has served as the Dawgs general manager over the past eight years, has been promoted to president of baseball operations.
Val Helldobler, who has occupied the position of assistant general manager, will take over the reins as Dawgs general manager.
Both appointments will take effect immediately.
“Both Tyler and Val have been doing an outstanding job for the Dawgs as our operation has continued to grow to the level of a Minor League Professional Team,” said Ircandia. “Their efforts have contributed to ongoing growth in every facet of our operation, including attendance, sponsorship, group bookings, concessions and recruitment. At the same time, they have engineered significant enhancement of our already phenomenal facilities with the addition of new seating sections, new patios, a new Weight Training Center and about to be completed state of the art, Pitching and Hitting Lab. Looking ahead to 2026, I am confident Tyler and Val will manage the Dawgs operation to another successful WCBL season as well as being two of the key figures in the successful launch of the inaugural The Road to Okotoks National Academy Championship in partnership with Baseball Canada.”
