Dawgs rout Bombers 13-3

The Okotoks Dawgs routed the Brooks Bombers 13-3 at Seaman Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

With the victory, the Dawgs improved to 23-10 and sit two-and-a-half games ahead of the Lethbridge Bulls and Sylvan Lake Gulls in the West division.

Offensively, Eric Machej (Okotoks, Alta.) and Zane Skansi (Campbellsville University) each went 2-for-5 and tallied a combined five runs for the Dawgs.

Aden Munoz (Simpson University) also blasted a three-run home run.

On the mound, Cameron Williams (McNeese State University) started and fanned three batters in four scoreless innings. Five Dawgs relievers then combined to hold the Bombers to three runs the rest of the way.

The Dawgs will have Monday off before batting the Lethbridge Bulls on Tuesday at Seaman Stadium.
