The Okotoks Dawgs steamrolled the Energy City Cactus Rats 20–1 on Saturday.
The Dawgs scored their 20 runs on 17 hits, breaking the game wide open with a seven-run fourth inning.
Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) led the offensive onslaught, going 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a walk.
And he wasn’t alone in the hit parade—Eric Machej (St. Albert, Alta.) also had three hits while Brandon Paez (Montreal, Que.) provided a major spark off the bench, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs.
In total, 10 players had hits for the Dawgs and six of them recorded multi-hit games.
On the mound, Seth Gurr (Coaldale, Alta.) started and allowed one run, while striking out struck six in five strong innings. He handed things off to the bullpen with a 13–1 lead, and the relief corps took care of the rest.
The Dawgs will play the Cactus Rats again on Sunday at Seaman Stadium.
