Chase Tucker (Mount Pearl, Nfld.) took over in the fifth and retired both batters he faced to pick up the win. Closer Alex Oliver (Colorado State University - Pueblo) tossed a scoreless seventh to record the save.
The Dawgs’ win in game two was sparked by an eight-run third inning that featured three home runs. Connor Crowson (Okotoks, Alta.) was the standout performer for the Dawgs, going 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs.
