Okotoks, Alta. – The Okotoks Dawgs earned a hard-fought, come-from-behind victory over the Weyburn Beavers on Saturday night, defeating them 12-6 in 11 innings.

With the win, the Dawgs improved to 4-1 on their current road trip and to 26-10 on the season.

The tone was set early by Emmett Stacher who smacked a first inning home run to give the Dawgs the lead.

Landon Kauffman (Vancouver, B.C.) also had a solid night for the Dawgs, going 3-for-6 with three RBIs.

Jordan Kievman also had three hits and three RBIs, while Aidan Dougherty hit a game-tying, pinch-hit, two-run home run in the top of the ninth.

On the mound, Dawgs starter Evan Lehnert fanned four in five scoreless innings before handing things over to the bullpen.

Bracken Rice held the Beavers scoreless in the eighth before Max McRaray came on and struck out seven in three scoreless innings to pick up the win.

The Dawgs continue their road trip on Sunday when they take on the Regina Red Sox. First pitch is set for 2:05 p.m.
