After a strong season with the Chipola College Indians that earned him Canadian Baseball Network All-Canadian First Team honours, Cédric De Grandpré is headed to the Division I Arizona State University Wildcats.

In 2021, the St-Simon-de-Baget, Que., native was 2-1 with three saves and a 1.69 ERA. He walked 15 and struck out 48 in 37 1/3 innings for Chipola, who compete in the first division of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). For his efforts, he was named the relief pitcher on CBN’s All-Canadian First Team.

He has now agreed to join the Arizona State program, whose team competes in the PAC-12 conference of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Prior to his collegiate career, De Grandpré pitched for ABC 17U coach Maxime Hockhoussen, as well as the Guerriers de Granby and coach Denis Lamontagne.
